Our mission is to support and empower women and their families to achieve optimal health. We want to make the motherhood journey easier and better for you and your family.
PLEASE NOTE:
For all Treatment Appointment, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 48 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is 100% of the visit fee**.
For all classes/workshops: your spot in a class/workshop is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed class/workshop leaves a hole in the class/workshop that could have been filled by another person. As such, a class/workshop cancelled with more than 2 weeks notice may receive a full refund. If a class/workshop is cancelled with more than 1 week notice, a credit to be used towards another class/workshop will be provided. Those who provide less than 1 week notice, or miss their class/workshop, will be charged a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is equivalent to the full amount of the class/workshop fee.
For inclement weather during the winter months, we follow the York Region District School Board. Should buses or schools be closed, we will waive our cancellation fee.
The last thing we want is to charge avoidable fees, so kindly ensure to provide notice for all appointment changes. We thank you in advance for your support.
Please note that we will be raising our fees, effective Monday, June 3rd, 2024. Fee increases are listed under each service individually. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you!

Acupuncture
Acupuncture therapy involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body. These points have different actions and can stimulate nerve and muscle activity, relax muscles and improve blood flow to the local area. Most people report minimal if any, discomfort as the needle is inserted. Once inserted to the correct depth, the needle should produce a mild sensation of pressure but not pain. Most people find acupuncture to be relaxing and some even fall asleep during a treatment.
Whether you’re looking to support your fertility naturally or enhance conventional fertility treatments, Acupuncture has been well-researched for improving fertility, especially with regard to PCOS, IVF, and IUI. Acupuncture can relieve stress, calm the mind, regulate hormone levels and influence both the menstrual cycle and ovulation. It can also improve blood flow to the ovaries, uterus, and endometrial lining.
It has been scientifically proven to be effective in treating various pregnancy related issues: nausea, heartburn, aches/pains, headaches, anxiety/depression... the list goes on.
Along with moxa, it can encourage a breech baby to move into a head-down position without any force.
It can can help prepare the body and mind for a smoother and more effective labour, even encouraging labour to start when the time is right.
After baby arrives acupuncture can help you start feeling like yourself again. It can relieve aches and pains, insomnia, anxiety & depression and can even help increase milk supply!

Breastfeeding Support
Breastfeeding can be an extremely rewarding and beautiful experience for many mothers. But it can also be very hard, painful, and sometimes a lonely experience for others. Even the most committed mothers sometimes give up breastfeeding because they find it too stressful or they struggle to establish both their supply and breastfeeding relationship. Getting help from the very start from the right people is key to establishing a positive and successful breastfeeding relationship.
If you are hoping to breastfeed your little one we are here to help you along this journey. Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Amanda Ho has the skill and experience to support you with your breastfeeding goals.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that emphasizes the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself. Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.
Chiropractic adjustments are a safe and effective way to help restore proper structural alignment and movement, helping relax tight muscles, optimize function, ease pain and discomfort.
During pregnancy, chiropractic offers a multitude of benefits including restoring proper pelvic movement/balance, decreasing pain and discomfort, allowing women to have a more comfortable pregnancy and often an easier delivery. Although all chiropractors are trained to work with pregnant women, there are those with a special interest in prenatal and postnatal care that undergo additional training such as Webster certification. You can be sure of this here at the Nest Health.
Chiropractic - Pediatric
Chiropractic pediatric care is a gentle, safe and effective therapy that can help your little one thrive. Just as an adult can experience issues with the various joints in the body, so too can little ones from the newborn stage all the way up to adulthood. These dysfunctions can impact their developing nervous system and cause problems in various places in the body. These dysfunctions can be experienced by parents as colic, feeding issues, gas pains, sleep issues and delayed milestones.

From fertility, pregnancy to postpartum, it is important to take care of our whole selves, including our mental and emotional health. Having someone help you navigate through these different stages of life/motherhood sets the stage for better relationship, better parenting and overall good health. It can truly be life-changing.

She can provide extra hands to allow parents to shower, take a nap or spend time with older children. Massage Therapy
Wherever you are on your motherhood journey, massage therapy is a wonderful way to reconnect with your body, calm the mind, relieve tension and pain, reduce stress, increase circulation, improve lymphatic drainage and can even promote better bonding with your little one.
Even our little humans enjoy massage. Infant massage can help ease your baby’s digestive issues (colic, constipation, gas), reduce crying and fussiness, boost muscle development and help them sleep better. Massage can also help babies relax, release emotional stress and bond easier with caregivers.
In older children and adolescents, massage can reduce muscle tension, prevent injury and improve sports performance. It can relieve stress and anxiety, improve digestion, promote positive body image and self esteem.
Our RMT has additional training in infant and prenatal massage, so you know you're in good therapeutic hands.
Take a little time for yourself, you’re worth it mama!

Personal Training
Physiotherapy - Orthopedic
Orthopedic physiotherapy is concerned with the treatment of injuries or disorders of the skeletal system and associated muscles, joints and ligaments. Your physiotherapist will take a full history, perform orthopedic assessments and provide appropriate treatments. It is important to get to the source of the problem and prevent a re-occurrence. The treatment goal of the orthopedic physiotherapist is to provide pain relief, increase joint range, improve strength and flexibility and restore the patient to full function
Physiotherapy - Pelvic Health
Pelvic Physiotherapy is a specialized service provided by registered, skilled and qualified physiotherapists who have additional training and certification to treat this region of the body. They take a full history, perform orthopedic assessments and most importantly, they perform an internal examination of the pelvic floor muscles (vaginal and sometime rectal, if needed). This internal exam is key in distinguishing between a weak or tight pelvic floor and providing the correct treatment plan. Pelvic physiotherapy is not exclusive to pregnant and postpartum women, although it is during those times that it is most often utilized.
If you’re pregnant and have never been assessed we encourage you to have at least one visit with our pelvic floor physiotherapist before your baby arrives. This can be a game changer and prevent a lot of problems from occurring.
If you just had you baby, we encourage you to wait till you’ve been cleared by your midwife or OB (usually around 6 weeks postpartum) before making an appointment with our pelvic floor physiotherapist.
We cannot stress enough how vital it is to restore proper function the muscles in the pelvic floor after pregnancy and childbirth. Pelvic floor dysfunction can contribute to pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, chronic pelvic pain and difficulties with bladder or bowel function. Many of these are preventable if addressed and treated early on.

It always keeps the attachment relationship between you and your child at the forefront. It never uses any form of sleep training but will guide you through how to make parent-led changes while supporting your child’s emotions.
Ultrasound Therapy (Blocked Ducts)
Breastfeeding can be difficult. It can be even more complicated and painful if you develop blocked milk ducts. Ultrasound therapy on the affected breast can be very helpful at resolving blocked ducts and preventing recurrence.
Ultrasound therapy is a gentle therapy that uses sound waves and mild heat to help unclog the duct and encourage the flow of milk through the ducts. Depending on the severity of the blocked duct, often only a couple of session are needed to resolve it and experience relief!
